In Manarola the meeting of the shareholders toasts a positive year; grapes paid double in the blink of an eye

An excellent year for Cooperativa 5 Terre, located in Groppo di Manarola, 160 shareholders, whose grapes will be paid double compared to the past and in a very short time

A commitment and a real effort that rewards the quality of the work done by the winemakers of this extreme and fragile territory, as the quantity of the production,due to the difficulty of the territory, will hardly reach dizzling figures.

Amost 1500 kilograms, the weight of the grapes obtained this year by Cantina, is not little, especially in the Cinque Terre, where the production has increased of 15%, compared to last year. The data is even more significant as the plots cultivated inside the Park have decreased in the last 60 years: from 500 hectares in the 1950s to less then half at present.

The total sum of 500 thousand Euros, will be distributed on Christmas Eve, thanks to the donation of Cassa di Risparmio Crédit Agricole, which is more and more active on the territory.

This results shows how much Cooperativa 5 Terre has obtained in terms of appreciation in the last years, and more credit for the hard work done by these “extreme winemakers”.
