Vermentino wines of Western Liguria receive the crown of “Vini Buoni d’Italia.
The 26th edition of the Merano Wine Festival – the international wine & food excellence, that took place from 10-14 of November, has just come to an end. It is the first wine festival in Europe which, since 1992, has captured the attention of producers, experts and wine lovers. Even this year the event hosted seminars and masterclasses with the participation of more than 450 top winemakers, both italian and foreign, 200 culinary producers, and 15 prominent chefs who delighted the participants through gourmet show cooking, a sequel to the wine events
The Ligurian wines awarded in the 2017 Merano Wine Festival edition are three Vermentino wines from Colli di Luni and Castelnuovo Magra: the Vermentino di Sarticola 2016 of” La Baia del Sole” cantine, owned by the Federici family, the Vermentino Il Maggiore 2016 of the “Ottaviano Lambruschini” wine farm and the Vermentino limited edition 2013 “Cà Lunae”, of the Bosoni wine farm. All three were awarded the Crown, the highest level of excellence recognized by the guide “Vini buoni d’Italia”.
