Enoteca Regionale of Liguria

la liguria ama i suoi vini

The REGIONAL WINERY OF LIGURIA (Enoteca Regionale della Liguria) was established on 24 November 2011, in accordance with article 36 of the Civil code, as ammended, for the purpose of obtaining the regional recognition under L.R. (REGIONAL LAW) n. 13 – 21 March 2007 “, by the four founding partners – municipalities of Castelnuovo Magra (prov. La Spezia), Genova (Ge), Dolceacqua (prov. Imperia), Ortovero (prov. Savona), which have been long engaged in promoting the wines of our region, especially those classified DOP “registered designation of origin, as well as the territories also through the production of local quality wine and food.
Establishment of an“ENOTECA” (winery) (article 1).  Established “for the promotion of regional wines, particularly those with “Designation of Origin” and those obtained with organic and integrated farming techniques and other products derived from the processing of grapes, wine and other typical quality
farming products and agri-food of a region.

Castelnuovo Magra

The registered office of the Enoteca Regionale della Liguria is located at Castelnuovo Magra, a small village on the hills of the province of La Spezia , in the sixteenth century cellars of Palazzo Amati Cornelio Ingolotti. Inside the magnificent rooms with their volted ceiling, are the “tine” – 18 th century tubs made from Carrara marble blocks, which were used to store olive oil – and the permanent exhibition of the Ligurian wines. A series of recent seismic events has made necessary the technical inspection of many buildings, which has revealed the presence of cracks and crevices at Palazzo Amati Cornelio as well. This has required the temporary transfer of the Enoteca Regionale della Liguria showroom to the nearby Museo
del Vermentino. Administrative and clerical offices remain available at the premises in via v. Veneto, 2 (public service only by appointment).

Opening hours:

from 1 March to 30 May – Saturday and Sunday from 15:00-19:00
