The Exhibition in Verona will host also the network of companies which represents 25 firms from Savona and Imperia
“First of all, I thank the producers, who in 20 years have taken Liguria to the top internationally, in terms of quality. A constantly growing trend, as the submitted applications to plant new vineyards have shown, even though the European regulations limit this growth to 1% annually. The region tries to help producers in every way, including supporting them in international promotion. Vinitaly is surely the best opportunity to promote the excellence of our wine growing.” Thus, Stefano Mai, regional agriculture councilor, “christened” the participation of the business network Vite in Riviera in the next Vinitaly, to be held in Verona from April 15 to 18.
The presentation was held in the offices of Enoteca Regionale in Ortovero, managed by Vite in Riviera.
Massimo Enrico, president of Vite in Riviera and head of Cooperativa Viticoltori Ingauni, explained to members and journalists “the great challenge”, i.e. the participation in the Verona exhibition. “For the first time, we will not be guests in the stand of the region and of Enoteca Regionale, but we will have our own stand, thanks to the commitment of members, but also to the measure 3.2 of the “Programme of rural development 2014-2020”, which supports strongly the promotion of the Ligurian territory and products. Vite in Riviera will have an entire space dedicated to wines and oils of Ponente Ligure (western Liguria), which will occupy the stand D4 in the Pavilion 12. An important task, in an important stand, with relaxing colours and totems, which explain wines, vine varieties, tastes and territory. We are present with 99 labels for our different DOC and IGP, with high quality wines and products such as pastes for tasting. There will be, of course, professional sommeliers to talk about the wines. We are convinced that, in any case, it will be a success not only for our company network, but for all our territory, the provinces of Savona and Imperia, where our members come from: Pigato, Vermentino, Ormeasco, Rossese di Dolceacqua, Rossese di campochiesa, Granaccia will be our ambassadors of the Ligurian taste.”
In addition to the tasting sessions, which will be available to visitors ( who last year were 128,000 from 48 countries) at the stand’s tables, there will be events dedicated to wine popularization and a conference on the 30 years of existence of the DOC Riviera Ligure di Ponente.
